“WORK PARTY 2013!”
The dates: Friday, August 16th – Sunday, August 18th
It will be amazing! Unlike previous years where we have worked like dogs to repair and prepare the house for the upcoming school year, this year will be different in that our focus will be on “settling into” the soon-to-be-completed, new Pomeroy Chapter House at 58 Pinewoods Avenue.
- We won’t be rebuilding porches, stairs, and room racks; or refinishing the bar top in the (now gone) party room for the umpteenth time; or doing major plumbing and electrical projects; or constructing a study room, patching and painting things, etc. We have a new home!
- We will be doing post construction landscaping/yard work, furniture assembly and moving stuff around, settling the kitchen, general cleaning and prep for the upcoming year, and other tasks of that nature. Perhaps some work in the garage… It’s tradition!
- There will be golf on Friday and the alumni/undergrad dinner that evening; work on Saturday and the (weekend highlight) ritual house meeting that evening; more work on Sunday, as needed; and best of all, a ton of camaraderie, catching up, story telling, reminiscing, re-connecting, and brotherhood growth throughout the entire event. You don’t want to miss it!
