mission
The purposes for which the Phi Epsilon Phi Corporation (“Corporation”) is formed are as follows.
- To maintain and conduct a society, the general object of which shall be to cultivate fraternal relations among the alumni and active members of the Delta Psi Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, located at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).
- To advise and cooperate with the active chapter in all matters pertaining to the welfare of the Chapter.
- To act as the House Corporation for the Delta Psi Chapter located at 58 Pinewoods Avenue, Troy, NY, and work in cooperation with the Chapter to effectively operate and maintain the property.
This Corporation and its members derive their status from the Sigma Chi Fraternity
and are bound by the Constitution, Statutes and Regulations of that fraternity.

Operations, engineering, research, and product development professional with over thirty-three years of experience in the filtrations and separations industry. Held roles of increasing responsibility in manufacturing and process engineering, operations management, research, and product development. Experienced in organizational and infrastructure development both domestically and internationally. Responsible for building several key technology and product platforms in the filtration and separations area. Involved in several mergers and acquisitions. Served as an adjunct faculty member teaching engineering and technical management courses. I am currently retired.
Personal Background
Married with four children and eight grandchildren. In addition to spending time with the family, I enjoy reading, skiing, biking, hiking, golfing, and playing the guitar, ukulele and piano.
Phi Epsilon Phi Board Member Experience and Focus
Served as board secretary and had responsibility for meeting minutes, election administration, bylaw maintenance, alumni and undergraduate contact management, alumni communications, and chaired the fundraising committee which worked on behalf of the Pinewoods Educational Foundation. Currently serving as board president with responsibilities for setting agendas and ensuring all board responsibilities are carried out effectively. This includes chapter house maintenance and repair, planning and completion of capital projects, undergraduate chapter relations, and alumni relations. In addition, I am responsible for ensuring that Phi Epsilon Phi maintains positive working relationships with the Pinewoods Educational Foundation, Sigma Chi International, and RPI.

I am a technology executive and business leader with over 25 years of experience driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and technical innovation. My career has focused on aligning people, processes, and technology to deliver results. I have had the opportunity to lead both large and small technology organizations, to lead acquisitions, and to help the spread of agile software practices. I have co-founded and grown technology companies to successful acquisitions and have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, SaaS development, cybersecurity, and privacy compliance. In addition to my professional work, I am committed to giving back through service on non-profit boards and by mentoring young technology professionals.
Personal Background
I am married with three children. When I’m not working, I am usually working on a side project or on home improvements. I love to travel with my family. And, I am an avid runner and usually training for my next marathon.

Investment professional in the insurance industry since 2016 with a focus on securitized investment products. Work on a team in Hartford, CT that manages over $5 billion in collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) supporting multiple insurance clients. Held prior roles in investment risk management where I focused on market risk surveillance, regulatory capital stress testing, and designing risk management tools through the use of advanced analytics.
Personal Background
Married and live in CT. In my free time I enjoy biking, hiking, working out, watching tennis, and spending time with family and friends.
Phi Epsilon Phi Board Member Experience and Focus
Currently serving as Treasurer since joining the board in 2016, I manage the finances for Phi Epsilon Phi and oversee maintenance expenses for the house on behalf of the Pinewoods Educational Foundation (PEF). Additionally, I provide key financial inputs for PEF’s budget, partner with the active chapter on social and leadership matters, and serve as a mentor to the undergraduate chapter treasurer.

Professional Background
Work in regulatory affairs in the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on the chemistry, manufacturing, and controls information for clinical and commercial drugs. Started my career in an analytical chemistry lab, developing methods to assess the quality of pharmaceutical products.
Personal Background
Married and live in CT. In my free time I enjoy crafting, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Phi Epsilon Phi Board Member Experience and Focus
Currently serve at the alumni newsletter editor, publishing two newsletters a year highlighting Phi Epsilon Phi events and sharing updates from the undergraduate chapter. Also have helped with planning reunion events, including the 70ish Anniversary Celebration and the 75th Anniversary Weekend events. I’ve also been put to work at a few Work Party sessions refinishing the picnic tables and reupholstering the chairs in the Alumni Room.
I also volunteer with Pinewoods Educational Foundation, working to find opportunities to partner with RPI to bring leadership and educational opportunities to campus.

Gary is a licensed professional engineer and a consultant in the alternative energy/hydrogen infrastructure space. He recently retired from General Motors LLC after a 36 year career including 18 years supporting GM’s Hydrogen Fuel Cell program and managing the deployment of GM’s Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles in the “Project Driveway” fleet and U.S. Department of Defense and Department of Energy projects related to Fuel Cells. In addition, Gary led a range of Hydrogen Fueling Infrastructure projects in support of the demonstration and commercialization of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles and remains active in SAE, CSA, and ISO standards development related to hydrogen safety and hydrogen infrastructure.
Gary earned a BSME degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1982 and an MSE degree in Controls Engineering from Purdue University in 1995.
Personal Background
Married with two children. I coach the local high school FIRST Robotics team and I enjoy working on classic cars and travelling with my wife.

Phi Epsilon Phi Board Member Experience
Elected to the Board in 2012 during the building of the Pomeroy Chapter House. Responsible for budgeting and rent determination. Elected Board President in 2015. Responsible for overall operations through 2021. Devised and led the campaign to pay off the mortgage in 2022/2023. Current Board Member responsibilities include Alumni Relations, Communications and serving on the Fundraising Committee. Started Leroy’s Report in 2023.

Personal Background
Married with three adult children, a dog and cat. When not working, I enjoy spending time in our new pool, traveling and visiting my family and friends, as well as gardening, DIY projects and exercising. I am also trying to spend more time golfing, playing tennis & pickleball and skiing.
